The NYC School Survey is an annual opportunity for families to share their experiences and perspectives about their child’s school. Your feedback helps school leaders understand what’s working well and where improvements are needed. Responses directly inform school planning, decision‑making, and efforts to create a stronger learning environment for all students.
Who should participate:
All families with children in grades 3‑K through 12.
Why it matters:
Your voice helps shape school programs, supports, and priorities. The survey is one of the most important tools NYC Public Schools uses to understand the needs of its communities.
How to take the survey:
- Families with children in NYCPS or charter schools use their child’s OSIS number (enter “f” + the nine‑digit OSIS).
- Early Childhood Education families use the unique access code provided by their program.
- You may also complete the survey through your NYC Schools Account or request a paper copy from your school.
